About us

Uxbridge Physiotherapy combines over 20 years of physiotherapy experience and extensive postgraduate training to provide a friendly, high quality, personalised physiotherapy service for muscle, joint and nerve complaints.

We understand the impact that pain can have on your life, and aim to return you to full, pain-free function as quickly as possible and to prevent recurrence. Our philosophy is to treat you uniquely, to be flexible to your specific circumstances and needs. If you need to get back to work or sport, need rehabilitation after an operation, or are keen to reduce those daily aches – we can help.

Through years of practical experience, primarily in the borough of Hillingdon, and extensive postgraduate training, we have developed a high level of expertise in our field.

We have also developed close links with local GPs and orthopaedic doctors. This enables prompt onward referral should further investigation or treatment be necessary to ensure you receive the treatment you need.

And at our base – Brunel University Indoor Athletics Centre – we have access to state-of-the-art facilities to aid your rehabilitation.

Candice Carter

Candice started her career in the private sector where she gained experience in sports injury management and whiplash related disorders.  Since 2012 she has further specialised in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy in the NHS, as well as working in other areas including post-operative rehabilitation, intensive care, neurological and elderly rehabilitation. Candice currently manages a varied caseload and treats a wide range of spinal, lower limb and upper limb conditions as a Senior Physiotherapist.

Candice uses a variety of treatment approaches, combining manual therapy with individualised rehabilitation programs designed to correct movement dysfunction and prevent injury re-occurrence. She has an interest in pain physiology and how this impacts on human movement. Candice is also trained in the use of acupuncture.

Candice is passionate about exercise and enjoys empowering others to lead more active lifestyles. This approach stems largely from her career as an elite gymnast where she picked up several chronic injuries leading to retirement at the age of 16, she then moved on to coaching. Candice’s knowledge and experiences as a high level athlete, coach, and physio means that she fully appreciates the frustration that pain and injury brings, whether you are a high level athlete or recreational gym user.
